COVID-19 Restrictions continue to lift across the nation, allowing people to return to traveling and resuming their everyday activities. At Mt Playmore, we are optimistic about our future and hopeful that COVID-19 cases continue to decrease. However, we are also realistic and want to prioritize the safety and well-being of each of the children and parents that walk through the door of our facility.
Being a grandparent is arguably one of the greatest blessings that we as humans get to enjoy. As humans, we are built to feel connected to others, primarily our family members. After all of the time and hard work you spent raising your children, it is so much fun to take a step back, relax, and enjoy time spent with your grandchildren. You get all the perks of unconditional love with all the responsibilities like discipline or changing dirty diapers.
It is no secret how vital reading is to the health and well-being of children. Not only does it expand their vocabulary, but it also helps them to make sense of the world around them and stimulates their imagination. Reading is also a stable source of information for a child. Studies have proven that developmentally, reading helps children’s cognitive development (i.e., how they perceive the world, how they empathize with others, information processing, etc.).
Indoor playgrounds are quickly gaining popularity across the United States and experts continue to rave about their many benefits for children. Not only are indoor playgrounds beneficial to children’s development, but they are also FUN and an excellent way to get children moving.
